The Story of River Paw Press

River Paw Press was founded on November 7th, 2020, in loving memories of Troy (April 20th, 2006 -November 7th, 2018), our family dog.

Troy lived thirteen good years on earth. Now he lives in our hearts. He was adopted from the Orange County Animal Shelter in the City of Orange, California, where he had come as an orphan dog at two.

I grew up with Troy, and we took good care of each other until the last day of his life. He was a loving, mellow, and wise dog with many human traits. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Diwali (the Hindu festival of light), late morning, after the age-related illnesses.

This picture of mine with Troy was taken by our mom when I was eight years old. Now I am eighteen.

The first title of River Paw Press, “Paws Healing the Earth,” is dedicated to Troy. He continues to fill our hearts with compassion for the Animal world and inspires us every day.
