While we are open to reading all kinds of poetry, we have a particular inclination towards publishing literature that uplifts, reassures, and provides profound insights into the aesthetics of life. We believe in the power of words to inspire, enlighten, and offer glimpses of beauty and meaning in our existence. If your work resonates with these ideals, we would be delighted to consider it for publication.
ELEMENTAL
Have you ever wondered which aspect of nature brings out the deepest emotions within you? Is it the earth, wind, fire, water, or the boundless expanse of space? Is it a magnificent mountain that fills your heart with joy or a gentle breeze that lifts your spirit up? There’s something about the flame, both consuming and nourishing, that captivates us. Water, with its contrasting abilities to cool and overwhelm, holds a power of its own. And when we gaze at the vast sky above, we’re reminded that we’re more than just physical beings.
When you find yourself feeling lost and in need of guidance, do you seek solace from the rivers, oceans, sun, moon, mountains, and trees? These natural elements have wisdom and presence that provide us comfort and direction. So why not express our connection with these elements through poetry? Share your experiences, feelings, and reflections on the forces of nature that resonate within you. Let’s celebrate the elements that stir our souls and remind us where we belong in this awe-inspiring world.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ELEMENTAL
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read our submission guidelines carefully before submitting your work. Incomplete submissions may not receive a response.
1. The submission for the “Elemental” poetry anthology is open from June 5th thru Dec. 15th 2023
2. Submit up to Three Poems, in English (no longer than forty lines each), with Author’s Bio (in 100 words or less), all on a SINGLE doc. by emailing to — submitriverpawpress(at)gmail(dot)com
3. Poems must be previously unpublished in an anthology or book. However, they can be published in a journal, magazine or blog.
4. We do accept simultaneous submissions. Please notify us promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere.
5. The author must own the copyrights of his or her works. We have a NO TOLERANCE policy for plagiarism.
6. All submissions must mention – “Poetry Submission by (author’s name) for “Anthology Title” (Elemental) in the Subject Line of the email and on the Submission Doc.
7. Acceptable font Times New Roman, 12 Point. Acceptable format Word DOC. (Submissions sent in the email body or as a PDF file or Screenshot will NOT be accepted).
8. We do not charge any reading fee for anthologies, and there is no pay.
9. Submission deadline: December 15th 2023. Notification Date: March 2023 or before. Expected publication date: June 2024
10. Submissions not sent according to guiles many not receive a response.
